About Us

The Youth Showcase Concert Series was established by Senaida Ng with the intention of creating a platform for emerging local youth musicians to perform. The Youth Showcase Concert Series gives artists under the age of 25 a chance to perform in front of a large audience. The Youth Showcase Concert is an event for youth run by youth to celebrate the talents of local musicians. The featured genres include pop, rock, indie and jazz. The artists are also encouraged to play original music.

The concert series runs every Saturday throughout August from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Downtown Markham Courtyard. Admission is free, however, the Youth Showcase Concert donates a gift to a not-for-profit organization at the end of this season.

For 2019, we will be giving a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of York, a local not-for-profit organization that empowers youth.

Throughout the rest of the year, the Youth Showcase Concert Series hosts various concerts and mini-series with partners to bring even more music to local communities.
